As of 6:00am Sunday 28 February, Auckland moved to Alert Level 3 and the rest of New Zealand moved to Alert Level 2. Our priority is your health and we will continue to provide medical care with most appointments being delivered by phone or video consultation. Our team will decide if you need to be seen in the clinic and arrange this if required.

Routine vaccination appointments will continue as planned.

Our clinic requires that all patients wear a mask on the premises during level 3 regardless of symptoms, young children are exempt. This is to protect the health and safety of our staff and other people in the clinic.

If you are unwell with COVID-19 symptoms including a fever, cough, runny nose or sore throat please stay at home.

Our team performs COVID-19 swabs in the carpark between 12-1pm. Please contact our reception if you would like to book a test for you or a family member. This service is free.

If you need a repeat prescription, please leave a phone message or fill out our Nurse Contact form. All scripts will now be faxed to your pharmacy of choice, so please specify this in your message. If you have more than 2 weeks supply of medication, please only request a repeat of your medications when you are in your final 2 weeks of supply. We will continue to keep our website updated as the situation changes.

Torrance Merkle

Updated: May 4, 2021

Dr Torrance Merkle is doing consultations for signing off of forms from Medsafe for the importation of amyl nitrite / isopropyl nitrite (poppers). He will only sign off a maximum of 6x bottles per script (3 months supply).

If you import more than this quantity, this will be considered as more than a 3 month supply, and will need to be physically collected from us at monthly or 3 monthly intervals.

Please email a scanned copy of your Medsafe forms to admin@hfd.co.nz before your appointment. Please also have your Driver's Licence or Passport handy during your consult, so he can confirm your identity.

For clarity - Medsafe will only send you these forms if they intercept medications (including amyl / poppers) at the border.

If you would like a consultation to discuss getting a prescription to attach to an overseas order, please book a video or in-person consult with Torrance.
